Eggs from the same hen...
traits to find again.
Filled with glee to watch him grow,
innocent eyes like small crystal snow,
everything I do he knows. (ha,ha,ha,ha)

Although the story I recall had dark,
I turned to a tangled-cold-heart.
My poor dear,
I neglected and sneered. (I remember..)
"Go away, I don't want you near !"

Maybe he needed me, maybe not.
How do I know his joy wasn't rot?
Was help desired in math,english,biology?
If so, I offer utter apologies.

Time does not help when he's now a teen,
because now I'm the one not seen.
No more Batman p.j.'s, no more Disney songs,
...connections feel unclean.
Will he come to my grave when I'm gone ?
